She Leads Women in Business Conference
One of the first major projects I participated in was hosted by Women in Business. Through this initiative, I had the opportunity to work with more than 50 high school students, providing mentorship, guidance, and support as they explored their futures. I shared my own experiences transitioning from high school to college while helping students navigate the opportunities available after graduation, whether that path included higher education, trade school, or entering the workforce. This experience strengthened my leadership, communication, and mentoring skills while reinforcing my passion for helping others succeed.
Domestic Violence Drive
One of the first projects I had the opportunity to co-lead focused on raising awareness for domestic violence. In collaboration with three student organizations and a local Connecticut domestic violence shelter, we organized a campus-wide donation drive and fundraising initiative. Through these efforts, we collected essential items, including feminine hygiene products, and assembled donation boxes for individuals in need. As a member of Women in Business, I was proud to help coordinate the donation of a full collection box to the shelter while establishing a lasting partnership for future awareness and service initiatives. This project allowed me to strengthen my leadership, collaboration, and event-planning skills while contributing to a cause that supports and empowers members of our community.
